AL leader hacked to death in Gaibandha

Miscreants today hacked a local Awami League leader to death in Mamudpur village of Saghata in Gaibandha.

The deceased Bazlur Rashid Bulu (58) was the vice-president of Awami League's Jumarbari union unit. He was also a retired army personnel.

Bazlur died on the spot after the attack, said Saghata Police Station Officer-in-Charge Belal Hossain.

The body was sent to a hospital for an autopsy, he said.
