Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) today arrested a union parishad member along with 80 pieces of yaba tablets in Saturia upazila of Manikganj.

The arrestee, Monwar Hossain (35), is a member of ward 5 under Dhankoda union in the upazila, said Unu Mong, company commander of Rab-4 in Manikganj.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Acting on a tip off, a team of Rab-4 launched a drive in Kamta area around 2pm and recovered the yaba pills from inside the toolbox of Monwar's motorcycle.
He was handed over to Saturia Police Station around 5pm after a case was filed against him under Narcotics Control Act, our Manikganj correspondent reports, quoting the Rab official.
