Woman Mamunul claimed to be 'second wife' files rape case against him

A rape case was filed against Hefajat-e-Islam Joint Secretary General Mamunul Haque at Sonargaon Police Station in Narayanganj today.

The victim, who Mamunul had earlier claimed to be his "second wife", filed the case against him this morning, reports our Narayanganj correspondent quoting Sonargaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge Hafijur Rahman.

"Action will be taken after the case is investigated," he said.

The Hefajat leader was arrested from Dhaka in another case on April 18 of this month.
