Will it rain on Eid day?

As the holy month of Ramadan nears its end, the nation eagerly awaits the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr, which will fall on either March 31 or April 1. The question on everyone's mind now is: What will the weather be like on Eid?
According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), the weather across the country is expected to remain dry, with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures are likely to rise slightly during both the day and night.
A mild heat wave is currently sweeping through the regions of Rajshahi, Rangamati, Feni, Sitakunda, Jessore, Bagerhat, and Patuakhali, with no immediate relief expected today. Residents of these areas can expect the heat wave to persist for the time being.
Looking ahead, no significant changes in the weather are expected across the country over the next week.
Md Omar Faruq, a meteorologist at the BMD, has reassured that despite the ongoing heat, there is little chance of unbearable conditions during Eid.
"The possibility of rain on Eid day is minimal, and no major rainfall is anticipated across the country in the coming days," he said.
"Temperatures will continue to rise slightly for the next couple of days but are expected to decrease afterward, returning to a similar condition as today," Faruq added.
