Nature Quest: BIRD HOMES

A bird peeps through a hole of an earthen pot hung from a tree in the yard of Bauphal upazila nirbahi officer's residence in Patuakhali. The bird enthusiast government official, Abdullah-al Mamun, has set around 50 such pots on different trees inside his residence compound. The place has now become a sanctuary for birds like Martins, doves, swallows, sparrows and pigeons. Mamun started the initiative soon after he joined office in January this year.
