Bangladesh enters AI era with first fully AI-generated cinematic music video
Bangladesh has stepped into a new chapter of music innovation with the release of its first fully AI-generated cinematic music video, titled "Nijhum Raat."
The track, sung by Susan Afzal, features lyrics and composition by the singer himself, with music arranged by Nomon. What makes the project stand out is its visual execution — every frame of the video was created through artificial intelligence, while retaining the real likeness of the featured artists. The video recently premiered on YouTube and is also available on several local and international streaming platforms.
Speaking about the project, Susan Afzal said, "The video for 'Nijhum Raat' has been created entirely using AI. All the visuals were built from real character images and refined through editing. With this project, Bangladesh has entered a new era of AI-based music videos. We're proud to be the first to do it, and I'm hopeful that audiences will appreciate the effort."
Music director Nomon added, "The song belongs to the melodic genre, and we designed the gothic cinematic visuals to complement its tone. Creating a mainstream video entirely through AI was a major challenge, but Suzan's creative drive made it possible. We hope this new experiment resonates with listeners."
Susan Afzal previously released his debut solo album "Andhar Periye", followed by several singles. With Nijhum Raat, the artist continues his journey of experimentation — blending technology and emotion to create a new kind of musical experience.
