K-pop icons BTS shocked the world today, as they announced that they will go on a hiatus, to focus on the members’ solo careers.

Lucky Ali’s post about loving Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) resulted in a section of people commenting Hindu religious slogans such as “Jai Shree Ram” and “Har Har Mahadev”. Many also used the word “Allah Hu Akbar” which resulted in word of wars between the Hindu and Muslim attacking each other in the comment section.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, along with Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy took up the initiative to organise a theme song for “Padma Shetu”. Let us address the elephant in the room first: Coke Studio Bangla is obviously an elaborate advert for Coca Cola. BTS has finally released their new album “Proof” on music streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Play. The anthology album was released today, Friday, June 10.  Alongside the album, the supergroup also released the music video for the title track, “Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)” on YouTube today. 

After an entire day of speculation and rumours, Coke Studio Bangla concert has commenced, at Bangladesh Army Stadium. An entire day of rain meant that the event had to be cut short, with most musicians abridging their set, and some having their slot cancelled altogether. Despite the 7-hour delay, music lovers have  filled the venue to the brim, being serenaded by Arnob & Co.

One delay after another due to unfortunate circumstances with the weather, organisers are unsure whether they would continue with the Coke Studio Bangla concert. After the organisers promised to update the fans at 4pm, further delays happened, as the rain would not let up.

Prominent singer-lyricist Hyder Husyn has been hospitalised after suffering from a heart attack. The singer is currently undergoing treatment at a reputed hospital in Bashundhara. A ring (stent) was placed in his heart on Wednesday afternoon.

Marking the 66th birth anniversary of renowned musician Lucky Akhand, the top musicians of the country gathered together at the musical release of his unreleased track “Se Ganer E Pakhi”. The event was held yesterday at a hotel in the capital. The track, which remained unreleased for the last 20 years, is written by Golam Murshed and tuned by Lucky Akhand. The song is voiced by Mehreen.

It has been just a week since we have lost one of Bollywood’s finest singers, Krishnakumar Kunnath, better known as KK. His first ever playback for Bollywood was “Chhor aye hum woh galiyan” from the film “Maachis”. The track was penned by eminent lyricist Gulzar.

Both of the songs were conceptualized and executed by Team Pritom – a robust group of talented artistes that now act as the think-tank for Pritom Hasan’s unorthodox ideas. “A lot of questions will be answered in the last chapter,” says the singer.

The last song sung by late singer KK was released posthumously on Monday evening, following the famous singer’s death on May 31, 2022. The release drew frenzied responses from his fans.
