5 actresses who looked breath-taking on the Cannes red carpet
The 75th Cannes Film Festival ended on May 28. Throughout the event, celebrities decked up in stunning outfits, especially the women. Among the gorgeous stars, we have selected five actresses who stood out on the red carpet.
Deepika Padukone

On the opening day, she wore a black and gold shimmery saree designed by Sabyasachi. Her other outfits included a red custom Louis Vuitton gown, an orange strapless taffeta gown, a black custom Louis Vuitton dress adorned with shimmering tassels which featured a floor-sweeping train and later an exotic black- golden Louis Vuitton gown.
At the closing ceremony, she wore a ruffled white saree by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla, with a very dramatic blouse. She sported a blouse embellished with white beads designed in the structure of leaves. Her neck was covered with a choker styled bib shaped pearl necklace which accentuated her look. The actress opted for a nude matte make-up look and styled her hair into a sleek bun. She enhanced her face with silver stud earrings.
Anne Hathaway
On the opening day of the Cannes Film Festival, the Oscar-winning actress wore Valentino's signature shade of saturated hot pink, an explosive hue first unveiled on the fall/winter 2022 runway by creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, dubbed "Valentino Pink PP" by the Pantone colour specialists who developed it.
Later, she attended the premiere of "Armageddon Time" wearing a Armani Privé dress, and a Bulgari sapphire necklace and ring, finishing her look with Santoni shoes. For the "Armageddon Time" photo call, she wore a plunging blue Gucci mini dress with a leather bustier top and bedazzled skirt. She accessorised with BVLGARI ornaments, a pair of Gucci Eyewear Cat Eye Sunglasses, metallic silver platform heels and a blue Gucci Spring 2022 Suede Shoulder Bag with Chain Strap.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
The former Miss World dazzled in a hot pink Valentino dress in her first red carpet appearance at the Cannes Film Festival 2022. She wore a pink double compact drill blazer teamed with matching pants. Almost similar to, Anne Hathaway.
Later, at the premiere of "Top Gun: Maverick" she strutted the red-carpet donning in an ornate black gown with floral accents had an extension of 3D flowers on one sleeve. The outfit was designed by Dolce and Gabbana. She paired her look with kohl-rimmed eyes and pink lips, with her hair down.
On her second red carpet appearance she wore an absolutely breath- taking Gaurav Gupta couture gown. It was inspired by Roman Goddess of Love- Venus. She accessorised with multiple finger rings. She also kept her makeup minimal by applying only, her signature winged eyeliner and glossy pink lips.
Lashana Lynch
"No Time to Die" actress Lashana Lynch attended the opening ceremony of the 75th Cannes Film Festival for the screening of "Final Cut (Coupez!)". Lynch arrived on the red carpet wearing a sleek, Fendi column dress with gorgeous emerald-and-diamond earrings. The dress had the leg splits on both sides that go all the way up her thighs. Lynch's look was styled by Karla Welch. The Fendi dress was complemented with jewels by Chopard, neutral makeup by Maria Asadi, and cropped coils by hairstylist Dionne Smith.
Later she put on a very dazzling display on Thursday evening as she attended the glitzy Trophee Chopard event during the Cannes Film Festival. She accessorised her showstopping look with dramatic diamond drop earrings and a coordinating bracelet. Highlighting her features, she added lashings of metallic eyeshadow and black eyeliner, toning things down with a nude lip.
Julia Roberts
Hollywood icon Julia Roberts made a stunning appearance at the premiere of "Armageddon Time" on the 75th Cannes Film Festival. The actress wore a streamlined navy Louis Vuitton jumpsuit with tails at the Cannes 2022 red carpet that she paired with a Chopard necklace which features a rare yellow diamond that weights over 100 carats at its centre.
Later while attending the Trophee Chopard event she wore a Dior look consisting of a black blazer with a black tulle skirt. The blazer was worn buttoned up and included a silver sparkly rose brooch attached to the lapel. The skirt was mid-length and included several layers of light tulle for a ballerina effect. Roberts wore her hair in a slicked-back low bun and added small stud earrings to the look.
