Attorney Camille Vasquez to defend Johnny Depp again
Camille Vasquez will be representing actor Johnny Depp in court for the second time very soon.
Vasquez will be defending Depp in a personal injury lawsuit filed against him by Gregg "Rocky" Brooks, location manager on the movie, "City of Lies".
Brooks alleges that Johnny Depp "maliciously and forcefully" punched him twice in the ribs, before saying he would pay him USD 100,000 to punch him in the face.
The incident took place in April of 2017, and he says the actor's actions were intentional, with the purpose to humiliate Brooks. He has also alleged that Depp's intoxication and temper created a hostile, abusive and unsafe work environment.
Brooks also claims he was fired from the movie when he refused to sign a release, waiving his right to sue over the incident.
According to legal documents, Depp's attorneys do not admit that the actor hit Brooks. Instead, they argue that Brooks' injuries were due to self-defense/defense of others, and that Brooks himself provoked the actor to hit him.
The trial is set to begin on July 25 in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, with Judge Holly Fujie presiding over the case.
