‘Free Motion’ Firoz and Tasrif Khan still on the field helping flood victims
The power of the youth is immense. During various natural disasters, many youths show great courage and take a stand beside the helpless stand beside the helpless people. Recently, two courageous young men have received praise by providing relief for the flood victims in Sylhet-Sunamganj.
They are Firoz Hasan and Tashrif Khan.
Firoz Hasan is known as 'Free Motion Firoz' on social media. The traveling man takes a motorcycle and roams in around remote areas of Bangladesh.
Firoz Hasan has provided various food items including rice, daal and water to the victims in Sylhet and Sunamganj. He is also encouraging others to come forward on social media.
In his videos, he was often seen to help the lesser fortunate in various areas of Bangladesh.
Young singer Tashrif Khan raised a fund Rs 16 lakh for the flood victims in the early days of the floods in Sylhet. He later went live on Facebook to seek more help.
A total of over 2 crore BDT has been raised by young Tasrif. So far, more than 5,000 families have been given 12-15 day worth of food and medicines thanks to his efforts.
These volunteers are being assisted by the army and police administration as well.
"As long as people are suffering, we will remain on the field with them," said Tasrif to The Daily Star."
Tasrif, who is the vocalist of the band Kureghor, has hits like "Ami Mane Tumi" and "Bachelor" to his name.
