All we can do now is pray for the people in Chattogram. The situation is extremely disheartening.

Tawsif Mahbub, Actor

Shared a video showing the current state of Sitakunda. This is the current situation in the area. The rate of casualties is going up. God keep us all safe.

Siam Ahmed, Actor

Emergency Crisis Response. We need a lot of ambulances. Ambulances from both private and public hospitals are being asked to provide support to the fire service. There is also a need for blood donations at Chattogram Medical College and Hospital (CMCH). All the locals should go and donate blood at CMCH.

Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, Filmmaker

There is no need for photographs or live updates. What's needed is to save lives and we need to do our best to help this.

Prince Mahmud, Composer

"Let's forget our differences, let's stop doing injustice. Instead, let us help people."

Aupee Karim, Actress

I pray that hopeless mornings like this never return.

Shahnaz Khushi, Actress

I have been staring at the television and online news since dawn. It's as if everything went upside down. Almost like everything was at a standstill. The last news I read, shows that the death toll has gone to 37, while those injured or hurt are upwards of 300. The fire is yet to be under control. I can only express my sadness for this tragedy.

Masud Hasan Ujjal, Filmmaker

We can only pray for the rain.  Among those dead, were seven firefighters, while two are still missing.  15 of them are now in hospital with serious injuries.  The fire spread even further due to the explosion of hydrogen peroxide. Anytime there is a large fire, we realise that we do not have enough advanced firefighting material, nor do we have international standard training.  There can be no question of the honesty and sincerity of those who have sacrificed their lives because of their commitment to their work.

Sagor Jahan, Director

Seven people died in the line of duty. Our real heroes are our firefighters. My deep love and respect for them.

Ziaul Faruq Apurba, Actor

The fire is still out of control. We need a lot of ambulances, from both public and private hospitals in Chattogram to provide support to the fire service in Chattogram. May Allah protect everyone injured.

Tasnia Farin, Actress
