“Hitler in Bunker” staged in Mymensingh

 A three-day theatre festival concluded at Mymensingh Shilpakala Academy auditorium on Saturday night.

 A three-day theatre festival concluded at Mymensingh Shilpakala Academy auditorium on Saturday night.

The play, "Hitler in Bunker", based on Adolf Hitler's life and his role during World War-II was staged at the festival by Onsumble Theatre, a noted drama troupe of Mymensingh.

Written by Jewel Kabir and directed by Ripon Khandaker, it drew a packed audience at the venue, nearly two years since the coronavirus pandemic gripped the country.

Abul Mansur played the leading role. The other artistes are -- Shahnaz Begum Banhi, Sadia Tabassum Bristi, Tajuar Mokammel Jahin, Ahnaf Abid Doha, Rashedul Hasan Robin, Soma Akhter and Ujjol Chowdhury played for different roles.

The organizers said the initiative to stage the play was a breakthrough after a long gap, and the response from the audience has inspired the artistes to progress further.
