M Hamid undergoes successful bypass surgery

M Hamid, noted theatre personality and founder of "Natyachakra", underwent bypass surgery on Saturday in Dhaka.

Actress Tonima Hamid, daughter of M Hamid, confirmed the news to The Daily Star. The actress said that with everyone's prayers and the grace of God, her father's bypass surgery was successful.

Tonima said, "Our family members finally got to meet dad today after his bypass surgery. I want to request everyone to pray for my father."

Meanwhile, M Hamid was infected with COVID in December of last year. M Hamid founded the theatre circle in 1972, and he was the Director General of Bangladesh Television.
