A memorable celebration on Asaduzzaman Noor’s 75th birthday

A grand celebration was held at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, marking eminent actor and Member of Parliament Asaduzzaman Noor's 75th birthday today. The event, titled Tomari Hok Joy,  was organised by the Asaduzzaman Noor Jayanti Uddojapon Jatiyo Committee, spearheaded by Professor Anup Roy. Renowned thespians Ramendu Majumdar and Nasiruddin Yousuff Bachchu were joint conveners of the event.

Honourable State Minister of Cultural Affairs K M Khalid was present on the occasion as the chief guest. People from all walks of life, including prominent reciters, playwrights, musicians, and dancers took part in the event. A range of performances were arranged in honour of television's Baker Bhai.

Asaduzzaman Noor is a remarkable performer, celebrated for his illustrious career on the stage, television, and films. The freedom fighter and politician has also served Bangladesh as the Minister of Cultural Affairs. He has been honoured with the Swadhinata Padak and National Film Award for his immense contributions as an artiste. Asaduzzaman Noor started out his acting career on the theatre stage. He worked with Nagorik Natya Sampradaya before making his way into television and films.  

A memerising dance recital was arranged at the event.

Numerous renowned personalities of Bangladesh, including Sara Zaker and Anisul Hoque among others, were present at the celebration.
