Prachyanat launches website on their 25th founding anniversary

Prominent theatre troupe Prachyanat celebrated their 25th founding anniversary yesterday. On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, their website (www.prachyanat.com) was launched as a part of their year-long silver jubilee celebrations.

Noted actors Zahid Hasan, Azad Abdul Kalam, and Shatabdi Wadud, along with avid theatre activist and renowned musician Rahul Ananda were present at the event, among others. 

"Prachyanat has set an example for other theatre troupes – this is a proud moment for Bangladesh. Now that the team has been working for 25 years, people will no longer forgive their mistakes. The troupe has to keep working hard, and move forward keeping such matters in mind," said Zahid Hasan.

Prachyanat started their journey on February 21, 1997. Since their inception, they have produced 36 different plays, which have received wide appreciation. Some of their acclaimed plays include "Circus Circus", "A Man for All Seasons", and "Raja…Ebong Annanyo", among many others.
