Shadhona to showcase ‘Dilnawaz’ at BSA

A dance performance titled ‘Dilnewaz’, inspired by a 1940s Urdu short story by Rahat Ara Begum, will be presented by Shadhona - A Center for Advancement of South Asian Culture.

The show is taking place at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy today at 7pm. It merges Sufi and Baul traditions through a combination of dance, music, and storytelling. "Dilnawaz", meaning "heart's caresser," is a performance that explores the deep emotional and transformative power of love and devotion.

Shadhona is a cultural organisation based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, established in 1992. It is officially known as Shadhona—A Center for Advancement of South Asian Culture. The organisation is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of both urban and indigenous arts in Bangladesh.
