Two documentaries based on Sahid Rahman’s ‘Mohamanober Deshe’ premiere at BSA

The programme titled, 'Bangabandhu Shongrami Rajnitir Kobi' was held at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), on January 8, featuring three documentaries based on Sahid Rahman's "Mohamanober Deshe".

"Ami Mayer Kachhe jabo" is directed by Antar Rahman and Mohammad Farid Uddin, while the screenplay was handled by Aurangojeb. It features National Film Award winner Fazlur Rahman Babu, along with Tarin Jahan, and Saberi Alam among others. 

Another documentary, "Ekjon Kafiluddin", featuring Gazi Rakayet, Ahmed Rubel, and Rokeya Prachi among others is directed by Sumon Dhar. The screenplay is jointly written by Sumon Dhar and Biddhut Ray.

A discussion was also held at the event. Mahbubul Alam Hanif, MP, and Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League graced the event as chief guest.

The programme was organised by Pochattorer Protirodh Joddha Smriti Shongshod.

Special guests of the event were-- Barrister Biplob Barua, Deputy Secretary, Awami League, and special assistant to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Mohammad Jahangir Alam, personal secretary to the PM, poet Asim Saha, Momtaj Hossain, former ambassador and leader of Awami League, Mohammad Harunur Rashid, Chairman, Globe Pharmaceuticals Group of Company limited, Dr Mohammad Faruk, Director, FBCCI, Syed Ashik Rahman, Executive Officer, RTV, Syed Mahmudul Haque, Pochattorer Protirodh Joddha and former praesidium member along with Congress leader and federal minister Deepa Dasmunshi, Freedom Fighter and former member of parliament Mahmudur Rahman Belayet, Hasan Zahid Tushar, Deputy Press Secretary media personality Abed Khan, and filmmaker Gazi Rakayet, Rokeya Prachi, actress and Cultural Editor, Bangladesh Mohila Awami League, actress Tarin Jahan, and G M Mahmud Mia.

The programme was presided by Journalist Mazumder Jewel, while the president of the event was noted author Selina Hossain.
