Emmys 2025 draws 7.4 million viewers, highest ratings since 2021

The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, aired Sunday (September 14) night on CBS and streamed on Paramount+, attracted around 7.4 million viewers, marking an 8% increase over last year’s broadcast on ABC which drew about 6.9 million.

These numbers represent the strongest viewership for the Emmys in four years — the last time the ceremony achieved similar ratings was in 2021 when CBS hosted it. Paramount+ also saw a 76% jump in live streaming viewership compared to its last airing on the network.
The ceremony, hosted by Nate Bargatze, awarded "The Studio" the Best Comedy Series trophy and "The Pitt" Best Drama. "Adolescence" won Best Limited Series.
