On information, officials of Mirsarai Coastal Range of the forest department recovered the carcasses from CP junction of Saherkhali union in the upazila this afternoon, reports our Chattogram staff correspondent quoting Abdul Ghafoor Mollah, officer of the forest range.

"The two dead female deer are approximately 10 years old. They were buried after talking to higher officials. "

The forest official said they believe that the two deer died after being hit by a car on the road on their way to or from the forest to the locality at night. They might have come out from the forest in search of food or water.

We have conducted autopsies of the deer, he said, adding that the cause of deaths will be known after getting the results of the report.
