Paralysed elephant dies four days after being spotted by Forest Department

An Asian Elephant which was found paralysed at Khutakhali Forest by the Forest Department in Cox's Bazar died on Saturday.

The elephant was found lying on the ground inside the forest on 11 April.

Anwar Hossen Sarkar, divisional forest officer (North) of Cox's Bazar Divisional Forest Office, told The Daily Star that they sent a team to examine the elephant and arranged treatment accordingly.

But it died on 15 April, he said.
