Tk 2,000 fine for disturbing zoo animals: bill placed in house

Any visitor who irritates animals in a zoo would have to pay a fine of Tk 2,000
Any visitor who irritates animals in a zoo would have to pay a fine of Tk 2,000.
Besides, a person can be jailed for two months and Tk 5,000 will be fined for injuring any zoo animal or giving food without prior permission.
The Zoo Bill-2023 was placed in parliament today keeping these provisions.
These crimes can be tried through mobile courts.
Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim placed the bill which was sent to the respective scrutiny committee for further examination.
The committee was asked to submit its report within 30 days.
