Bagerhat brick kiln without license fined Tk 1 lakh

A mobile court today fined a brick kiln Tk 1 lakh in Fakirhat upazila of Bagerhat for operating without a license.

Rubaiya Bintay Kashem, assistant commissioner of Bagerhat district administration, conducted a drive this afternoon in Kamta area of the upazila and fined Md Rubel Shah, manager of Hasan Bricks in the area for operating without a license, reports our Bagerhat correspondent.

The assistant commissioner confirmed the incident to The Daily Star.

The district administration's campaign against illegal establishments and brick kilns in Bagerhat will continue, the official added.
