CRB Area in Ctg: Protest against hospital project on green space continues

Different sociocultural and political organisations continued protesting the initiative to build a hospital and medical college at Chattogram Railway Building (CRB) area, saying that the project would badly impact the surrounding environment.

Udbigno Nagorikbrindo, Chattogram, a citizens' platform, formed a human chain in the  area yesterday afternoon. Speakers demanded that railway authorities shift the project to another area to save the century-old trees.

Chhatra Federation at a human chain said the city needs hospitals, but they should not be built by compromising the environment.
