Spring rain cools weather

Incessant rains at the beginning of spring have brought the mercury down thus cooling the temperature but have also disrupted people's life especially in Dhaka.

Dhaka dwellers, who are experiencing the rain since Thursday evening, started their day’s activities amid a moderate shower this morning.

In regular intervals, moderate and heavy showers accompanied by gusty wind are taking place in areas including Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions.

The reason behind the continuation of these showers is two lows -- one over West Bengal and adjoining area and the other over North Bay and adjoining Southern part of Bangladesh, said the forecast of Bangladesh Meteorological Department this morning.

“Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country,” the met office said.

But without giving a specific timeline, the forecast said that the weather condition will improve.
