Covid-19 surge: 7-day restrictions in Naogaon from tomorrow

The district administration in Naogaon is imposing a seven-day restriction with a 15-point directive from tomorrow till June 16, said Naogaon Deputy Commissioner Harun-ur-Rashid at a press briefing today.
At the same time, lockdown has been relaxed in Naogaon municipality and Niamatpur upazila, reports our Natore correspondent.

"During the restriction period, shops, malls and markets can be kept open from 7 am to 6 pm in compliance with hygiene rules. However, tea stalls shall remain closed. Hotels, restaurants can only serve food for takeaway. If rules are violated and people are seen without masks, markets and shops will be immediately shut down," said the DC.
"No one is allowed to leave their houses from 6 pm to 8 am, unless necessary. And public transport can operate with 50 percent occupancy during the restriction," he added.
Besides, weekly haat at Chapainawabganj, Rajshahi and India border have been closed due to the restriction and all travel routes with Chapainawabganj, Rajshahi will be closed.
Earlier, a seven-day special lockdown was declared from June 2 due to the increase in Covid-19 cases in the district. Although, a lockdown is in session, it has been obeyed rather loosely.
