Mask wearers get flowers, others fined in Narayanganj

Nearly 110 people were fined in Narayanganj city today for not wearing masks to control the spread of Covid-19.

Nine executive magistrates of Narayaganj district administration conducted drives from morning to afternoon in various parts of the city.  

During the drives, they fined 110 people Tk 21,150 for not wearing masks and also distributed masks among them, said Mostain Billah, deputy commissioner of Narayanganj, in a press release.

The mobile court teams also greeted people, who wore masks and followed health guidelines, with tube roses and chocolates, he said.

The mobile court drives were conducted in the city in a bid to make people follow health guidelines to remain safe in this Covid-19 pandemic as cases are rising again, the DC added.
