The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has extended opening hours for markets, shops and shopping malls in the capital till 9:00pm.

"Shops, Markets and shopping malls may remain open till 9:00pm from now," DMP Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam told the Daily Star.

On Friday, the Cabinet Division issued a notice saying that the government has decided to let shops and malls reopen from 10:00am to 5:00pm every day from today, maintaining proper health guidelines amid the restrictions imposed to curb the spread of Covid-19.
