The government extends the ongoing suspension on all types of public transport till May 5 to check spread of Covid-19 in the country.
The government today extended the ongoing suspension on all types of public transport till May 5 to check spread of Covid-19 in the country.
The Road Transport and Highways Division took the decision a day after the government extended the ongoing closure of most of the public and private offices till May 5, Abu Naser, deputy chief information officer of the ministry, said in a press release.
However, all goods-laden vehicles and those carrying emergency services will remain out of purview of the suspension.
No goods-laden vehicle would be allowed to carry passengers.
The suspension on public transport came into effect on March 26.
