No Covid-19 death since April 5

No Covid-19 death was reported in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With the latest report, no Covid-19 death was recorded in the country since April 5, 2022, according to the data.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country remains 29,123 and the death rate is 1.49 percent.

At least 42 new infections from Covid-19 were recorded in the 24 hours. The total number of cases rose to 19,52,065, added the release.

The current positivity rate is 0.80 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.06 percent, said the press release.

A total of 5,244 samples were tested across the country during this time.

At least 707 patients recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 18,88,640 and the recovery rate at 96.75 percent, added the release.
