A Bangladeshi expatriate in Italy’s Milan has died after being tested positive for Covid-19, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen says.

A Bangladeshi expatriate in Italy's Milan has died after being tested positive for Covid-19, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has said.

He is the first confirmed Bangladeshi coronavirus patient in Italy to die.

The man hailed from Noakhali and was over 50, the foreign minister said, adding that he had comorbidity.

The deceased breathed his last around 8 last night at a local hospital in Milan, sources said.
