A total of 6,100 patients have been admitted to different hospitals across the country with dengue this year, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) data shows. Of the total infected, 308 are from outside Dhaka.
At least 3,442 dengue patients have been hospitalised in August so far, while it was 2,286 in July, 272 in June, and 43 in May, according to the DGHS.
Though most of the patients who were hospitalised have so far been released, 1,049 are still undergoing treatment at hospitals in Dhaka, and 89 outside the capital, the DGHS data shows.
