Dengue: 1 dies, 685 hospitalised in 24hrs

One dengue patient has died while 685 others were hospitalised across the country in 24 hours till 8:00am today, said a press release from the Directorate General of Health Services.

With the new numbers, the total number of dengue cases rose to 51,000, of which 18,092 are from outside of Dhaka.

The total number of dengue deaths now stands at 217.

Of the deceased, 129 were from Dhaka, 24 were from Cox's Bazar, and 29 were from Chattogram, said the press release.

Meanwhile, 48,477 patients have recovered from the infection, of which 16,778 are from outside Dhaka.

A total of 2,750 patients are still under treatment, of which 1,226 are from outside of Dhaka.
