Dengue cases cross 29,000 mark

With the new 409 dengue patients admitted to different hospitals across the country, the total number of dengue cases this year crossed the 29,000 mark today.

Among the 409 cases, 105 are from outside Dhaka, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of deaths this year so far is 110.

Some 3,207 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment of whom 1,025 are from outside Dhaka.

Experts urged authorities concerned to conduct extensive drives identifying clusters of Aedes mosquitoes immediately.
