Dengue cases cross 46,000 mark; 5 deaths reported in 24hrs

At least five dengue patients died while 888 others were admitted to different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours till this morning (November 10, 2022).
With the new deaths, the total number of dengue deaths rose to 192 while total number of cases rose to 46,486.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services, of the total deaths, 116 were from Dhaka, 23 were from Cox's Bazar, 23 from Chattogram, seven from Barishal, seven from Khulna, five from Mymensingh, two each from Rajshahi and Narail, and one each from Narsingdi, Pabna, Kushtia, Khagrachhari, Bogura, Madaripur, and Feni.
A total of 43,046 patients have already been released, 14,445 are from outside Dhaka.
Some 3,248 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment, of which 1,333 are from outside Dhaka.
Experts urged authorities concerned to conduct extensive drives identifying clusters of Aedes mosquitoes immediately.
