Dengue claims two lives, 923 patients hospitalised in a day

At least two dengue patients died at different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours till 8am today (October 26, 2022), according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
At least 923 new dengue patients were admitted to the hospitals during this time.
With the new deaths, a total of 120 people died so far while the total number of cases rose to 33,923 this year.
Among the death cases, 71 were in Dhaka, 22 in Cox's Bazar, 13 in Chattogram, five in Barishal, three each in Khulna and Mymensingh, and one each in Narsingdi, Narail, and Feni.
A total of 30,423 patients have already been released, of them, 9,099 are from outside of Dhaka.
Around 3,380 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment of which 1,173 are from outside the capital.
