One dengue patient died while 135 more were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With this, the number of deaths from dengue fever rose to 19 this year.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Among the total deaths this year, nine died in Dhaka while 10 in Cox's Bazar. With the 135 new cases, the total number of dengue patients rose to 4480.
Among the patients, 454 are still undergoing treatment of which 62 are from outside of Dhaka.
A total of 4007 patients have been released from hospitals, of them 673 from outside the capital.
