Dengue fever: 1 death, 334 hospitalised in 24 hours

At least one dengue patient died while 334 were hospitalised in 24 hours till 8:00 am today (October 9, 2022).

With the new cases, the total number of dengue patients rose to 20,569 of which 5,091 are from outside of Dhaka, according to the Dhaka Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With the new death, a total 68 people died from dengue fever this year.

Among the deaths, 34 were in Dhaka, 21 in Cox's Bazar, six in Chattogram, five in Barishal and one was in Narayanganj.

A total of 2,348 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment of which 583 from outside the capital.

A total of 18,153 patients have been released from hospitals, of them, 4,475 from outside of Dhaka.
