Dengue fever: 2 more die, 134 hospitalised in 24 hours

Two dengue patients died and 134 others were hospitalised in the last 24 hours till this morning.

With the new deaths, the total number of deaths in dengue rose to 21 this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With the new cases, the total number of dengue cases this year rose to 2,854.

Some 506 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment. A total of 2,327 dengue patients were released from hospitals.

Experts urged authorities concerned to conduct extensive drives identifying clusters of Aedes mosquitoes as soon as possible.
