Dengue fever: 3 die, 265 hospitalised 24hrs

At least three dengue patients died while 265 others were hospitalised in 24 hours till this morning.

With the new deaths, a total of 266 people died from dengue fever this year, while the total number of cases rose to 60,078, of whom 22,078 are from outside of Dhaka.

Among the deaths, 164 were in Dhaka, 25 in Cox's Bazar, 36 in Chattogram, 11 in Barishal, eight in Khulna, six in Mymensingh, five in Rajshahi, two Narail and one each in Narsingdi, Kushtia, Pabna, Bagerhat, Khagrachhari, Bogura, Madaripur and Feni.

A total of 58,631 patients have already been released from hospitals, of them, 21,492 are from outside the capital.

Some 1,181 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment, of which, 484 are from outside of Dhaka.
