Dengue fever: 3 patients die, 399 hospitalised in 24 hours

Three more dengue patients died and 399 others were hospitalised in the last 24 hours till this morning.

With the new deaths, the total number of deaths in dengue rose to 45 this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With the new cases, the total number of dengue infections this year rose to 7,238, of whom 1,619 are from outside Dhaka.

Of the infected, some 1,498 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment. A total of 5,695 dengue patients were released from hospitals.

Total number of deaths in dengue was 281 last year while the total number of cases was 62,382, of whom 23,162 were outside Dhaka, according to the DGHS.
