Dengue fever: 4 deaths, over 1,000 hospitalised in 24hrs

At least four dengue patients died while 1,094 others were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours till this (November 2, 2022) morning.

With the new cases, the total number of dengue patients in the country rose to 40,101, including 12,953 from outside of Dhaka, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With the new deaths, the total number of deaths from dengue rose to 152, including 92 in Dhaka alone while 23 in Cox's Bazar, 16 in Chattogram, six in Barishal, four each in Mymensingh and Khulna, two in Narail, and one each in Narsingdi, Pabna, Khagrachhari, Bogura, Madaripur and Feni districts.

A total of 36,199 patients have already been released following recovery, including 11,475 from outside the capital.

Some 3,750 dengue patients, including 1,418 from outside of Dhaka, are still undergoing treatment at hospitals.
