Dengue fever: 9 deaths, 882 hospitalised in a single day

At least nine dengue patients died while 882 others were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours till this (November 3, 2022) morning.

With the new cases, the total number of dengue patients in the country rose to 40,983, including 13,337 from outside of Dhaka, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With the new deaths, the total number of deaths from dengue rose to 161.

Of them, 98 are in Dhaka, 23 in Cox's Bazar, 16 in Chattogram, six in Barishal, four each in Mymensingh and Khulna, two each in Rajshahi and Narail and one each in Narsingdi, Pabna, Khagrachari, Bogura, Madaripur and Feni.

A total of 37,145 patients have already been released following recovery.

Some 3,676 dengue patients, including 1,400 from outside Dhaka, are still undergoing treatment at hospitals.
