Dengue fever: No deaths, 184 hospitalised in 24hrs

At least 184 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours till today morning.

At least 184 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours till today morning.

Among the new cases, 84 are from outside Dhaka, according to a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With the new cases, the total number of dengue cases rose to 60,926 this year, of which 22,495 are from outside Dhaka.

A total of 267 dengue patients died so far this year.

Among the deaths, 165 were in Dhaka, 25 in Cox's Bazar, 36 in Chattogram, 11 in Barishal, eight in Khulna, six in Mymensingh, five in Rajshahi, two in Narail and one each in Narsingdi, Kusthia, Pabna, Bagerhat, Khagrachari, Bogura, Madaripur and Feni.

A total of 59,743 patients have already been released. Of them, 21,971 are from outside Dhaka. Some 916 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment, of whom 422 are from outside Dhaka.
