Dengue fever: No deaths, 49 hospitalised in 24hrs

At least 49 patients with dengue fever were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours till this morning, which is the lowest since the outbreak in July.

Among the new cases, 21 are from outside Dhaka, according to a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With the new cases, the total number of dengue patients rose to 61,138 this year, of whom 22,584 are from outside Dhaka.

A total of 269 dengue patients have died so far this year. Meanwhile, at least 60,095 patients have already been released. Of them, 22,857 are from outside Dhaka.

Some 774 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment, of whom 323 are from outside Dhaka.
