Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) will start mobile court drives from Sunday to curb the menace of Aedes mosquitoes.

Ten executive magistrates have been posted to the DSCC in this regard who will work to control mosquitoes, carrier of dengue virus, says a press release.

Chief Executive Officer of DSCC Md Mizanur Rahman instructed all the executive magistrates in this regard today.

Addressing the executive magistrates, Mizanur said, "Just as it is important to destroy the breeding ground of Aedes mosquito for public welfare, you will also give utmost importance to the fact that common people should be more aware."

He said controlling dengue through destroying its breeding sources is a proven method.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), at least 29 people died of dengue this year. At least 4,087 cases have been recorded during this time.
