Girl admitted with dengue symptoms dies at Mitford Hospital   

An eleven-year-old girl died with symptoms of dengue in Dhaka's Sir Salimullah Medical College and Mitford Hospital last night.

The deceased was identified as Sadia, a resident of Mir Hazirbagh area.

"The girl was rushed to the hospital with symptoms of dengue shock. Though no test was done, we are suspecting that she was suffering from dengue," hospital director Brig Gen Kazi Md Rashid un Nabi told The Daily Star.

Hospital sources said the girl passed away nearly three hours after she was taken to the hospital.
