One more dies from Covid, 82 new cases reported

Bangladesh reported one more death from Covid-19 and 82 fresh cases in 24 hours till last morning.
With the new numbers, the country's total fatalities rose to 29,459 and caseload to 2,042,131, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The daily case test positivity slightly declined to 7.17 percent from Friday's 7.18 percent as 1,144 samples were tested.
However, the death and recovery rate remained unchanged at 1.44 percent and 98.33 percent, respectively, DGHS said.
Bangladesh registered its highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28 in 2021 and its highest number of fatalities of 264 on August 10 the same year.
On May 8, the National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19 recommended relaxing Covid-19 guidelines such as social distance, wearing mask and others as the infection rate in Bangladesh was under control for days following the World Health Organization declaration that the Covid is no longer a global health emergency.
