Over 1,000 dengue patients hospitalised in a day

At least 1,034 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours, the highest in a single day and also the total number of dengue cases crossed 31,000 within this time.
One dengue patient also died during this time, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
With the new death, a total of 113 people died while the total number of cases rose to 31,064 this year.
Among the death cases, 67 were in Dhaka, 22 in Cox's Bazar, 13 in Chattogram, five in Barishal, two each in Khulna and Mymensingh, and one each in Narsingdi and Feni.
A total of 27,458 patients have already been released, of them, 7,798 are from outside of Dhaka.
Around 3,492 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment of which 1,206 are from outside the capital.
