At least 218 people with dengue fever were admitted to hospitals across the country in 24 hours till 8 am today, of which only 29 are from outside Dhaka.

A total of 4,753 patients have been diagnosed with dengue this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). Of the total infected, only 199 are from outside Dhaka.

At least 2,286 people were hospitalised in different hospitals across the country in July, 272 in June, while 43 were hospitalised in May.
Though most of the patients who were hospitalised have so far been released, 931 are still undergoing treatment at hospitals across the country, 68 of which are outside the capital, the DGHS data shows.
