Type 1 diabetes corner opened in Rajshahi

A special corner was opened at Rajshahi Diabetic Association General Hospital on Wednesday for the treatment of those suffering from type 1 diabetes.

The corner will provide treatment for the patients and create awareness about the disease. It will also provide free insulin to patients who are from disadvantaged families.

Prof Sayef Uddin, secretary general of Diabetic Association of Bangladesh, inaugurated the corner.

Before the inauguration, a scientific seminar on managing type 1 diabetes was held at the conference room of Rajshahi Diabetics Association.

Prof M Fazlur Rahman, president of Rajshahi Diabetics Association, chaired the seminar. Prof Md Faruque Pathan, director of Birdem Academy,, and Bedowra Zabeen, coordinator of BADAS Pediatrics Diabetes Care and Research Center, spoke at the event.
